Steam Demo Live Update
This update is related mainly to Steam Demo as title reads. This is also the reason why I'm making update week earlier than usually. However I also updated demo build because I added some UI updates which I push also to demos.
Steam page review is done as I planned in previous devlog. Near zero bugs didn't happen of course, because I was adding some planned content to game. I updated some game menus so now they look much better (at least I hope). I nearly finished all maps and some balancing decisions are now in front of me. Then I added visuals for two new mobs. And that's it. There is not much else to talk about this time.
This new build contains these new game updates, history of all project changes is available on my discord server (https://discord.gg/4x8489reYV) in changelog channel for Celestial Drift:
- Added capsule/logo artist to credits (you can find her under Ane Bonazza on art station if you are game developer and don't want to download my game just to know who she is)
- Added splash images for game and editor start up
- Added new area effects actor for damaging charged clouds
- Filled release maps with stations and gates and prepared respawn locations
- Fixed multiple map warnings and errors
- Fixed missing or incorrect tags in maps objects
- Activated all relevant jump gates and wormholes
- Assigned mobs to level managers
- Added visuals for mob Wheels of Ezekiel
- Added visuals to mob Wrath of Gods
- Updated various menus visuals
- Fixed occlusion mask wasn't applying at full zoom out
- Added player start position to GameSettings instead of taking first respawn position in the start level
So I just rephrase sentence from previous devlog: Now missing for full release are contracts, visuals for 15 mobs, visual and audio effects for four weapon/damage types. If I can keep current pace of mob visuals addition (which I won't be able but I can dream) I will have all the mobs by the end of year. New trailer will be by the end of year just before deadline for registration to Steam Next Fest February 2026 which I will participate in.
